The Missing Piece to Better Success Rates in Teaching:

  • Anger Management
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Communication
  • Responsibility
  • Self-Confidence
Just may be...a HORSE!

Equine Assisted Learning is a new way of looking at an old problem - dealing with defiant and oppositional kids.

We know that today’s youth face overwhelming social challenges. The average student in the classroom no longer responds to the same instructional and disciplinary techniques that were successful in generations past. Opposition and defiance have become the norm.

Equine Assisted Learning gives you some exciting new tools.

Using horses under the guidance of trained facilitators, you will learn to “think and act differently.”

Why horses?

Horses are considered the most empathic domestic animal. They communicate with a complex system of non-verbal language, including body movement and emotional feedback. Most importantly, horses reflect your feelings and behavior back to you. Student dynamics are also reflective of your behavior, attitude and feelings. While horses are emotionally genuine, people are more complex. Their own ego-driven perceptions complicate the learning environment.

Equine Assisted Learning skills transfer seamlessly to the classroom, affecting the way you look at interactions, redefining “discipline,” and restructuring the educational environment.

Successfully completing these courses give you many benefits INSIDE the classroom…

  • Helps you teach more effectively
  • Instills leadership and communication skills that bring students back to education
  • Shows new ways to win trust, respect and cooperation
  • Makes you more alert to nonverbal cues
  • Hands you more control of the learning process

… and OUTSIDE the classroom...

  • Opens your eyes to an unseen world
  • Helps you build better relationships in your professional and personal life
  • Gives you more confidence in interacting
  • Builds empathy

Don't wait to learn more about this revolutionary way of interacting!
Classes start October 5, 2007 at Tyson's Corners in Lampasas, Texas.

It is fun.
It is liberating.
It is empowering.
It is a new way to look at the world.
It is a new way to look at yourself

Recognizing Trauma & Loss in the School Setting

Many students who have been identified as At Risk have unrecognized symptoms of trauma and loss.  Stress does change how the brain functions and this has a dramatic impact in the school setting.  These students are often misdiagnosed as having ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder or Conduct Disorder.  As educators we are often forced to deal with the associated problematic behaviors and many times we lose patience and compassion for students with chronic behavior problems.  Come find out how Equine Assisted Learning can change the behavior of these students.  Experience first hand how our equine friends can facilitate change in thinking, feeling, and behavior.  Earn 8 CEUs while participating in solution oriented experiential learning activities. > More
